Laura Mellinger LVT, CCAT, Hospital Administrator
Laura has been active in the Veterinary field for over 20 years. She received her Associates in Applied Science from Penn Foster College, PA. In addition to being a Licensed Veterinary Technician, she has additional accreditation in Equine Dentistry, Pet CPR and First Aid, is a Canine Good Citizen Evaluator and a Certified Companion Animal Therapist. She has a strong interest in Anesthesia, Emergency and Critical Care, Rehabilitation Medicine, and Hospice/Palliative care. When she isn't working, she enjoys horseback riding, traveling, and camping with her husband and two boys. Her small hobby farm includes cats, dogs, and horses.
Penny Office Manager
Penny received her education and small business degree in England. She has extensive experience in customer service and office management. Penny enjoys the ability to work alongside both staff and clients to ensure every patient receives the very best care. In her spare time, she is an avid hiker, gardener, photographer and artist. She enjoys spending time with her husband of 25 years, her double coated keeshonden and visiting with her two adult children.
Sarah BS, LVT
Sarah graduated from Michigan State University in the spring of 2002 as a Licensed Veterinary Technician. She enjoys educating clients and studying patient behavior. In her free time she likes crafting, baking and relaxing around a campfire. Some crafts include quilting and creating greeting cards. Sarah has a Boston Terrier who gets into trouble frequently!
Ashley LVT
Ashley graduated from the Penn Foster Veterinary Technician program with an Associate's degree of Applied Science in 2023, and she has worked for 17 years in veterinary medicine. Her special interests lie in surgery and dentistry, and she has taken classes in Fear Free techniques and CPR. Her vast experience and dedication show her commitment to ensuring the best care for our furry friends. Outside the clinic, Ashley is a loving wife, and mom to one wonderful child. Her family also includes a delightful duo of dogs (a French Bulldog and Pit Bull), a cute kitty, and even four feathered friends in the form of chickens. Ashley enjoys a well-rounded life beyond her veterinary work. She loves to spend quality time with her family, whether it's in the garden, taking a dip in the pool, sewing, crafting, or whipping up delicious treats in the kitchen.
Alex Veterinary Technician Assistant
A lifelong Michigander and animal lover, Alex joined our team in January 2022. She started her journey in Veterinary Medicine in November 2020 by graduating from Ross Medical Education Center for Veterinary Assisting. Working in the field sparked her interest to continue her education and is now working towards her Associate’s in Applied Science in Veterinary Technology at Penn Foster College.
In her free time, she enjoys traveling, camping, and spending time with her boyfriend and their two dogs, Ox & Riley.
Faith Veterinary Assistant
Faith, who was born and raised, here in southwest Michigan, has had a lifelong interest in helping wildlife. Growing up, Faith could be found at work, shadowing her mother who is a Licensed Veterinary Technician. After spending 2 years studying abroad in Hawaii, Faith has expanded her skills and knowledge in veterinary medicine. Currently, she is enrolled in, Dallas College Veterinary Technology Program, with hopes to complete her undergraduate studies at Michigan State University after becoming licensed. Faith also holds three certificates of being a Certified Fear Free Pet Professional to offer the most pleasant experience for you and your fur baby. In her free time Faith can be found; boxing, camping, hiking, snowmobiling or cozied up with her own fur babies. Faith has two cats and one dog; Fredonia, Kiwi, and Miller the yellow Labrador.
Kyle Veterinary Assistant
Kyle started his interest in animal care as a Kennel Technician in 2018. He joined the team in May of 2022 and is working toward furthering his skills and education in the veterinary field. He has a strong interest in integrative medicine and rehabilitation, as well as lab work and exotic animal husbandry. When not working he enjoys spending time with friends, hiking, running and caring for his two aquariums, three tarantulas and his energetic cat.
Kassidy Veterinary Assistant
Kassidy, is a first generation born in Michigan. She went straight into working with animals as soon as she graduated high school. Kassidy was a kennel technician for 2 years prior to attending Ross Medical Education Center for their veterinary assistant program.
Kassidy has always had a passion for animals since she was young. She has ridden horses and shown them at the county fair. Kassidy has 3 dogs, a cat and an aquatic turtle. Her dogs are a blue tick coonhound, an American English coonhound and an Australian Shepherd and pit mix. She also has a cat she rescued from the shelter called Toad. In her free time, she enjoys arts and crafts, training her dogs, taking her dogs out to run on her property and hanging out with her cat.

When not spending time with her four dogs, Sidney channels her passion into home renovation or the creation of delicious baked treats. She cherishes time with her family, enjoys diving into a new novel and loves to explore the diverse landscape of the United States.
Terri Client Service Representative
Terri has always had a love for animals, she started her journey in the animal industry 3 years ago. Terri is a proud USMC veteran that serve our country for 8 years. Terri is also the owner of two long haired dachshund, Penny & Scarlett. Terri’s passions are reading books, an spending time with her family. Terri’s motto is “The nice thing about teamwork is that you always have others on your side.”
Candace Groomer
Candace started her grooming career at Petsmart as a bather in 2016. Where she quickly excelled in her position and was sent to grooming academy. Where she spent a month training with a grooming instructor, learning breed standard clips, pet grooms, and grooming safety. Candace then went on to manage that salon for two years, afterwards managing Pawmart grooming until she joined our team November 2022. Candace has been grooming for 7 years and enjoys pampering her fur-clients by giving them a calm and luxurious spa experience. When Candace isn't at work she enjoys spending time with her two boys and her fiance. At home she has a standard poodle, two cats and a bearded dragon.

With years of experience under her belt, Gyllie has become a trusted name in the grooming industry. Gyllies gentle touch and calming demeanor instantly put pets at ease, making the grooming experience enjoyable for both animals and their owners. She believes in creating a stress-free environment where pets feel comfortable and cherished.
Beyond her grooming talents, Gyllie's free time is often spent exploring the wilderness. Whether it's hiking along rugged trails, camping under starlit skies, or simply soaking in the tranquility of nature, she finds solace and inspiration in the great outdoors. Her adventurous spirit fuels her creativity and reflects in her grooming techniques, incorporating natural elements and eco-friendly practices.
